the Prince Warrior, with the 2021 vintage, abandons its original guise of Montescudaio Doc 100% Sangiovese, and becomes a blend of Cabernet and Merlot, Costa Toscana IGT. The vinification takes place in terracotta amphorae, as was likely the case in the time of the Etruscan Prince, whose tomb lies in the middle of our vineyards. Therefore, with this important change we wanted to give a greater territorial identification with the "coast of the Etruscans," using the two symbolic varieties of this coast , Cabernet s. and Merlot, and with the use of the amphora, an ancient wine vase, which, thanks to its characteristics as a neutral container, allows a wonderful evolution and maturation of the wine, through which the characteristics of the vines and the territory are enhanced. The grapes macerate in the amphora for about a month, which is followed by aging for about a year. Further bottle aging of 12 months follows. Winemaker Attilio Pagli, Agronomist Stefano Moscatelli
