Blumea IGT Tuscan Coast 2023
In an area particularly suited for red grape varieties, partly out of challenge, partly out of curiosity, we began, since 2009 , to produce a white wine. Vermentino is undoubtedly the white grape variety that best expresses its potential on the Tuscan coast. Grown using the Guyot system, great care is taken in green pruning and vineyard defense operations using organic farming techniques to achieve absolute bunch integrity. Harvested in mid-September, after destemming and soft pressing of the grapes, a natural decanting of the cooled must follows to enhance the aromatic component of the grapes, in which floral and white-fleshed fruit scents prevail. Fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature (16/18° C) and the wine rests for 3 months in stainless steel tanks and another 3 months in the bottle.
